Watch Over Us

To those who are sick, who have this virus, who are uncertain when or if they will feel well again, watch over them.

To the medical professionals, who are on the front line, who are working long hours and taking on more shifts, who are exposing themselves and then carrying the burden of bringing that home to their loved ones, watch over them.

To the first responders, who don’t get to work from home, who will still answer the call to protect the community, who are away from their families and loved ones for long periods of time, watch over them.

To the local/small business community, who are facing so much uncertainty, who don’t know if they will make it through this, watch over them.

To the service industry, who were so critical in bringing us together through food, spirits and experiences, who don’t know when they will be able to work again, watch over them.

To the freelancers, who work from gig to gig, who are reliant on businesses to be up and running to be able to provide for themselves, and their families, watch over them.

To the elderly, who are vulnerable, who are lonely, who don’t have the means to take care of themselves the way they need to, watch over them.

To the parents, who have to work, who now have to figure out childcare for their children, who have to bear the burden of making a living and taking care of their children, watch over them.

To the children, who have never experienced something like this, who don’t know when they will go back to school, who don’t know when they will see their friends again, who have to watch their parents struggle, watch over them.

To leaders of the world, who are looked upon for answers, who have to make tough decisions, who have whole countries on their shoulders, watch over them.

To those who are struggling with mental health, who felt alone before all of this started, and now find themselves more isolated, who don’t have anyone to talk to, who can’t seek help, watch over them.

To the entertainers, and creators, who make their living by bringing joy to the population through entertainment, who can’t hold concerts, plays, shows, take pictures, or make movies, who have so many people who rely on them to put food on their tables, watch over them.

To the homeless, who don’t have shelter, who can’t seek medical care, who don’t know where their next meal will come from, watch over them.

To those in the prison system, who don’t know what is going on, who can’t get visitors, who don’t receive medical treatment, watch over them.

To the less fortunate communities across the world, who don’t have access to medical treatment, who don’t have technology to fight this virus, who don’t know what their future holds, watch over them.

To the grocery store workers, who are stocking the shelves, who are sanitizing the stores, who are dealing with people who are frustrated and fearful, watch over them.

To the food delivery folks, who are picking up orders, and taking them wherever they are needed, who are trying to help businesses stay alive, who are working hard to both serve the public and provide for themselves and their families, watch over them.

To the doctors, researchers, medical companies, and experts, who are working to develop a vaccine, who are trying to learn more about this, who are doing everything they can to help the world, watch over them.

To the people of influence, who are donating money, who are using their platform to help those in need, watch over them.

To the athletes, who don’t know when they will compete again, who aren’t sure if they will have a season, who don’t know if they will be able to make their living this year competing, watch over them.

To anyone in the world, who is impacted by this in any way, watch over them.

Peace and Love to you all.
